About the AIRS

The AIDS Institute Reporting System (AIRS) is a fully automated tracking, reporting and billing system designed to meet the reporting needs for the New York State Department of Health-AIDS Institute and its contractors in response to federal and state reporting requirements. These contractors represent a broad range of provider types, from primary care clinics to multi-service community-based organizations that support a range of services including case management, medical and health related care, substance abuse services, and mental health services.  AIRS is developed by Defran Systems, Inc. for the New York State Department of Health-AIDS Institute.  Defran Systems is responsible for software enhancements of AIRS, selecting hardware, coordinating the implementation of the system to all providers, conducting both group and individual system training, writing user documentation and training curriculum, and providing technical support.

The AIDS Institute maintains a website dedicated to the AIRS.  Here you can find all information regarding updates, documentation, troubleshooting guides, training schedules and contact information.  Follow this link to the site:  http://www.airsny.org/

Defran Systems, Inc. also has a website where you can download the actual upgrade files and other technical documentation.  You will need a username and password to access the AIRS section of their website.  If you have not received your username and password yet, you must call Defran Systems, Inc. at (212) 727-8342 and select option #4 for AIRS related support.  Utilizing this website is the quickest and easiest way for you to receive upgrade information and technical documentation. Defran's website News Page for support is: http://support.defran.com
