About the AIRS
The AIDS Institute Reporting System (AIRS) is a fully
automated tracking, reporting and billing system designed to meet the
reporting needs for the New York State Department of Health-AIDS Institute
and its contractors in response to federal and state reporting requirements.
These contractors represent a broad range of provider types, from primary
care clinics to multi-service community-based organizations that support a
range of services including case management, medical and health related
care, substance abuse services, and mental health services. AIRS is
developed by Defran Systems, Inc. for the New York State Department of
Health-AIDS Institute. Defran Systems is responsible for software
enhancements of AIRS, selecting hardware, coordinating the implementation of
the system to all providers, conducting both group and individual system
training, writing user documentation and training curriculum, and providing
technical support.
The AIDS Institute maintains a website dedicated to
the AIRS. Here you can find all information regarding updates,
documentation, troubleshooting guides, training schedules and contact
