Step
1:
Obtain the most current Statewide Calendar of HIV/AIDS Training.
Calendars are printed in six-month cycles (January – June & July –
December); the most current calendar can always be viewed on the web at:
http://www.nyhealth.gov/diseases/aids/training/index.htm
Step
2: Identify the course you wish to attend.
Step
3: Identify the course date.
Step 4:
Identify the Training Center that is the offering training. Look up
their contact information. Some training centers will allow you to
register online, but others may require that you phone them. Staff
will be happy to take your registration information and answer your
questions regarding the training.
Each training center is required to have you complete a registration form
that will contain some personal or identifying information. This information
is used for demographical purposes and is required by the AIDS Institute.
In most cases, you should only have to complete this form once per training
center. They should then have most of your information when you sign
up again for future trainings.
Step
5: After registering for a course, do not alter your work
schedule or plan to attend the training until a written letter of
confirmation or registration has been received from the training center.
Step 6:
Enjoy the training, and remember to share the information with your
co-workers!
